You will be aware that over the course of the past twelve months or so, Bracknell Town Football Club has been supporting the school and its students by providing access during lessons and after school to their excellent 3G pitches.  In addition, the Club has been working to maintain and improve the grass pitches on our own Larges Lane site.

As a direct result of this collaboration, plans have emerged to develop our grass pitches at Larges Lane so that our students are able to enjoy access to state-of-the-art facilities for years to come.  The plans, which have now been submitted as part of the consultation process with Bracknell Forest Borough Council, are ambitious and call for a total redevelopment of our playing field.  With the financial support of and in partnership with Bracknell Football Club, we propose to build two 3G pitches (1 Football/1 Rugby), a pavilion, a running track, netball/tennis courts and 4 smaller multi-sport cages.  In the current financial climate it simply would not be possible to contemplate such a project without the backing of the football club.  However, by working together, we will be in a position to offer our students world-class sporting facilities.

In view of this, we are writing to all members of the school community to ask for their support. We would like to invite you to do your bit for this exciting project by taking five minutes over the course of the coming week, to follow the link below and show your support for the planning application.  With nearly 1000 children at the school, this could make a significant difference. Students can also get involved.  If they have a valid email address then they too, can visit the link.  Please also encourage relatives and friends to get involved.  The more support we obtain, the greater our chances of success.

I hope that you will agree that this is an excellent opportunity for our school and our community.  Thank you in anticipation of your support.

Thank you in advance.

Yours sincerely

Mrs B Stevens
