French Exchange Trip to Marseille – Wednesday

A real taste of French education today when our students went into classes this morning – French, Mathematics, History/Geography, Physics, Art – almost the whole curriculum was on offer – except English! Two 1 hour lessons were much enjoyed by all. ‘The Maths is SO much harder – and the students aren’t set by ability!’

We also enjoyed another theatre workshop with the same actor from Marseille, which focussed on using our better understanding of body language and timing to introduce the art of theatre with masks. Well done to the volunteers who took to the stage behind the masks and put theory into practice – even harder to do than it looks. There should have been a standing ovation for Mrs Seabrooke-Moore and Mrs Jenkins!

Meanwhile Mrs Lindsey toured the various placements of our Year 12 students on work experience – what a pleasure to see them all in action and to hear the accolades showered upon them. We are very proud of them all.

This afternoon, as there were no classes, we were ‘en famille’.  And then, in the evening, we all met up again, this time at the bowling alley in Plan de Campagne for a couple of hours – a good opportunity to socialise and great fun. Amelie, une française, had the highest score overall with Jacob fortunately not far behind, so keeping the English heads held high!
