This March, selected Year 7 drama students were taken to see a production of Roald Dahl’s The Witches. It was a great experience packed with whizz pops and bangs and fun for all the students. It followed the spooky story well and gave us all a better understanding of how to bring a story to live through a variety of techniques. Use of live music, songs and special effects were just some of the most effective. We all especially enjoyed the performance put on the Grand High Witch, she was great fun to watch and a great example of acting to us all. Overall, the actors, props, special effects and music were all brilliant and we highly recommend this production as a great way to think about how you can present work in drama.
